Jefferson Native Returns Home to Open New Chiropractic Business | Raccoon Valley Radio

A new business in Jefferson was highlighted Friday morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Abby Badger is the owner of Prime Performance Chiropractic and Therapies, which is located on East Lincoln Way, next to the Twiins Shop, near the downtown square. The 2017 Greene County High School graduate talked about how she came up with the name of her business.

“I want you to be able to do anything you want to do in life to the fullest you can, at your prime performance, with little to no pain. So, whether that be running a marathon, if that’s your hopes and dreams, just mowing the lawn everyday or getting up and down off the floor with your grandkids, anything like that I want to get you out of pain and moving the best you can.”

After graduating from Iowa State University, Badger went into the chiropractor program at Logan University in Missouri. Then, she started her business in Altoona, renting a space in an office building, but she said, something felt off.

“I could just tell, after the first couple of months, my heart was not in it. My patients were great, the office building that I was in was also great, but I just knew something was missing. And so, I was kind of like toying like, ‘Okay, maybe I do want to move back to my hometown, open my own thing.’ After a few conversations with my mom and my dad, and then this building coming up for rent, it kind of all kind of fell into place.”
